Hearth cooking in the Crane kitchen has come to an end.

Museum in King Park, Jamaica, Queens, NY; noon to 5 p.m.
Saturday, June 18 (rain date Sunday, June 19):
The City of White Plains, in cooperation with The White
Plains Historical Society, presents: “A Day in the Life
of Colonial White Plains,” Tibbits Park, from 10 to 2.
Join in the celebration of the founding of White Plains.
There’ll be crafts, cooking, and more. The Declaration
of Independence will be read at noon, to acknowledge
it’s arrival in July of 1776. FREE
Sunday, June 26: Revolutionary War Encampment at Old
Bethpage Village with the Huntington Militia. Included
with admission to OBV.
Sunday, July 17: The Declaration of Independence arrives
at the Arsenal in Huntington, LI. Come hear it read and see
the reactions of colonists. Are you for or against liberty?!

Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28:
Annual Battle of Brooklyn Commemoration; this year marks
the 240th anniversary. In Brooklyn’s Greenwood Cemetery.
