I’ve been keeping this blog for a little more
than a year now (one year and two weeks,
to be exact), and this, dear readers, is my
200th post. HUZZAH! Yep, I’ve reached
another major milestone. HUZZAH, again!

So, in honor of myself (!) and my blog guru
Steven Shaw, to whom I owe a Big Thanks
for helping me start and continue this journey
through the fascinating world of blogs, take
a look at this wacky video clip. Filmed last year,
it features Steven and pal Anthony Bourdain
discussing the blogging class Steven teaches
at the French Culinary Institute (FCI), which is
part of NYC’s International Culinary Center (ICC).
And yes, yours truly is the woman (or the “poor
misguided soul,” according to Anthony) he mentions
who’s “an expert on historical hearth cookery.”

Check out this video of a goofy conversation about food blogging,
featuring Anthony Bourdain and Steven Shaw (incidentally, both
of whom have such blogs), sitting street-side here in NYC. Yes,
I’m one of the “poor misguided souls” who took “sage” Steven’s
class, but also, the woman he describes as “an expert on historical
hearth cookery” is ME. Hey, a shout-out is a shout-out! HUZZAH!

BTW I have no idea why this is on a travel site. And I’m sorry
about having to endure the ad at the beginning. dagnabit.
