The recent Homeschooler Day out at Wyckoff was a huge success.
Lovely weather, assorted activities, and enthusiastic kids made
for one fantastic day.

The children were able to write with a quill pen, make herb satchets,
tour the farmhouse, and help prepare a meal over an open fire. Of
course, I handled the cooking portion. Together we churned butter,
made biscuits, and put together a chicken pottage (aka soup or stew).
Everyone helped with preparations. And with eating! HUZZAH!

We made two batches of biscuits. One was made with white and
acorn flour, the other with all white.
